What MineRooms stands for

  • One stay, shared context

The booking, the room and the guest folio give reception, housekeeping and food service a common starting point.

  • A view for each team

Guests use their own account; staff work from the front desk, a phone or the kitchen display, within their role and house.

  • A platform you can adapt

Drupal modules, a hotel theme and clear provider boundaries leave room for your policies, branding and integrations.

MineRooms

One hotel application, from room choice to room readiness

A stay crosses several teams. The guest needs room information and a simple way to book and pay; reception needs the booking, the room state and the folio; housekeeping needs the room task; the kitchen needs the order queue; managers need the day’s figures. MineRooms brings those views into one Drupal application.

Each team works under its own role and house. Walk through your own operating case on the role guides, then agree the rules and integrations your deployment needs.

From choosing a room to preparing the next stay

The operating journey to agree and verify for your hotel deployment. The role guides show each team’s part.

    1. Choose the stay

Browse the houses and room types; choose dates, guests and the room that fits.

    2. Book and pay

Enter the guest details and extras, then pay by card or PayPal, or pay at the hotel.

    3. Prepare the arrival

Review the day’s arrivals, the guest profile and the booking at the front desk.

    1. Check in

Assign a clean room, take the deposit and record the staying guests.

    2. Serve the guest

Room-service orders reach the kitchen display and are charged to the guest folio.

    3. Keep the folio right

Record charges, part payments, transfers and refunds against the stay.

    1. Check out

Settle the balance, print the receipt and release the room to housekeeping.

    2. Prepare the room

Housekeeping works through the checklist on a phone; a supervisor inspects the room.

    3. Close the day

Review pending actions, close the business date and hand over the shift.

Know which room comes next

Reception starts from the room state and the booking. The Room board shows every room by floor and status, and opens each room’s guest and stay. From the booking, the desk checks guests in, keeps the folio and checks them out.

  • Room board with available, occupied, hold, cleaning and maintenance states
  • Check-in that only offers clean rooms of the booked type, with deposits
  • Guest folio with charges, part and split payments, transfers, adjustments and refunds
  • Amend a stay, move room, late check-out and early departure with configured fees

The task stays beside the room

Housekeeping works from a phone. Each room task opens its checklist, and the same screen records minibar use, amenities and found items. The task list stays readable when the connection drops, and new assignments can arrive as phone notifications.

  • Task list by floor, status and priority, with the room checklist
  • Minibar and amenity use recorded from the room task
  • Issue reports that become maintenance work orders
  • Supervisor inspection with approve or re-clean

Read the order queue at a glance

The kitchen display separates new, preparing and ready orders. Each ticket shows the room or table, the dishes and kitchen notes, with the next action; dishes that cannot be made are rejected with a reason the guest can read.

  • Room-service and point-of-sale orders in one queue
  • Order sound, search and printable tickets
  • Menu availability by venue for the day
  • Delivered room-service orders charged to the guest folio

A booking page and a hotel workflow

The difference is the work after a room has been chosen. This is a scope comparison, not a comparison with a named vendor.

Questions about MineRooms

Is MineRooms a booking website or a hotel application?

Both. The same application runs the public website and booking, the guest account and the hotel’s own work: front desk, housekeeping, kitchen and management. A deployment review connects those parts to your hotel’s operating process.

Can our team try it first?

Yes. Open the live demo, read the user guide and the presentation, then walk through your own example: an arrival, a room to clean, a room-service order and a departure. The fit report records what is available and what your deployment needs.

Are online payments connected?

Guests can pay by card through Stripe or with PayPal at checkout; the reservation is confirmed once the provider confirms the payment, and refunds go back through the provider. This is tested with sandbox accounts; going live needs the hotel’s own live keys and a short pilot. Reception also records cash, card-terminal and other counter payments against the folio.

Can housekeeping use a phone?

Yes. Housekeeping staff work from a phone: task list, room checklist, minibar and amenities, found items and issue reports. The task list stays readable offline, and new assignments can arrive as phone notifications. Supervisors and managers inspect rooms and assign tasks.

Can we offer day rooms as well as overnight stays?

Yes. Guests book day rooms by arrival time and duration on the website, and reception checks hourly stays in, extends and checks them out. Hourly and overnight stays share the same room inventory.

Which services need an outside account?

Channel manager and OTA connections, AI suggestions, SMS, document reading, guest registration and e-invoices each need the hotel’s provider account. Their screens and settings are in place; each provider is connected and tested in the deployment.

Can we bring our brand and existing systems?

The site is built with Drupal modules, configuration and a custom theme. Branding, content, data mapping and integrations are scoped in the fit report, then built and tested for the chosen deployment.

What comes with the project handover?

Agree the deliverables before development: application and deployment code, configuration, data-migration records, role guides, acceptance results and operating documentation. Hosting, support, pricing and warranty are terms to confirm in the contract.
