Close the day

Manager

8Step 8 of 8

Close the day reviews the open orders, reconciles the counted cash and locks the trading day.

  1. Check Open orders (Open orders list).
  2. Under Cash reconciliation enter the Business date, the Counted cash and a Variance note, then click Save day-close draft.

Resolve all open orders for the business date before closing it.

After saving the draft, use Close the day and Confirm the counted cash; a non-zero variance needs a note. The closed day is locked overnight; after locking, only the permitted Reopen action can change one of its orders.

What you should see

The draft is only saved: This saves a structural draft only. It does not close or archive the business day.
