Why WeebPal

The Team Behind WeebPal

The engineers, designers and support staff who build, test and run the systems we deliver, organised around delivery rather than accounts.

An engineer reads it and replies within one business day.

Cards labelled as a team describe a delivery function rather than one individual.

  • Hai Nguyen

    Founder & CEO

25+ years coding, 15+ years with Drupal. Completed 100+ projects of all sizes, from startups to government and large organisations. Founded WeebPal in 2012 and still works as a solution architect on the engagements that need one. Sets the two commercial positions the company is built on: clients receive the full source code from day one, and development projects carry a warranty of one year by default, up to three. Writes the WeebPal blog, including the levels-of-AI-coding and levels-of-trust series.
  • Drupal Dev Team

    Drupal Development

Builds and extends the Drupal 11 systems at the centre of most engagements: entity models, custom modules, editorial workflow, multilingual delivery and integrations with whatever the client already runs. Works to Drupal coding standards and ships documentation written for a developer who has never met the team, because the code is handed over and has to be maintainable by someone else. This is the practice behind our Drupal development service and the migrations off end-of-life Drupal versions.
  • Production Team

    Product Development

Builds and maintains WeebPal Products: EverLMS, MenuNerds, MineRooms, MineCourt and MineTickets. Their job is the part of a client project that should not be rebuilt each time: the booking lifecycle, the assessment engine, the pricing rules, the role model. When a client engagement starts from a platform rather than an empty install, this is the team whose work it starts from.
  • Quality Team

    Testing & QA

Ensures code quality with PHPUnit, Playwright, PHPCS and PHPStan. Automated tests ship with the code rather than living on the team's own infrastructure, which is what allows another developer to change the system later and know whether they broke something. Also runs cross-browser validation, accessibility checks and the performance work before a release, and the user acceptance testing milestone where a client signs off against written criteria instead of an opinion.
  • Design Team

    UI/UX Design

Designs the interfaces, from wireframes through interactive prototypes to the finished design system. Works prototype-first: a client corrects something they can click rather than approving a diagram, which is where most of the expensive misunderstandings on a project are caught. Responsible for the design systems behind the product platforms and for making sure a distinctive interface does not fight the content model underneath it.
  • System Team

    Infrastructure & DevOps

Manages servers, CI/CD pipelines, Docker and cloud infrastructure for reliable deployments. Handles environment separation for development, staging and production, backup and restore verification, uptime monitoring, and the staged go-live with a rollback path. Everything is built on open-source infrastructure, so a system can run on the client's own servers, their cloud account or ours; there is no proprietary runtime that only we can operate.
  • AI Team

    AI & Machine Learning

Specialists in OpenAI integration, document processing and intelligent automation. The production work is mostly document extraction (reading uploaded certificates and forms so that nobody has to re-type them), along with AI-assisted content tooling inside the platforms. Also responsible for the internal use of AI in delivery, which is governed rather than ad hoc: the levels the company applies to projects are set out on the blog.
  • Support Team

    Client Success

Business-hours support with proactive monitoring, out-of-hours cover as a priced option, and a warranty of one year by default, up to three, on the development projects we deliver. Handles warranty claims on systems we built, under target first-response times of four hours for critical issues, one business day for high priority and three business days for normal. Also runs maintenance on systems built by other people, which starts with an audit rather than development: what is running, how far behind it is, what is custom, and what is undocumented enough to be dangerous.
  • Project Management Team

    Project Management

Runs each project's milestones, from proof of concept and kickoff to go-live and handover, with working software in front of the client before each one. On larger programmes, runs the phase gates, the change control process, the steering cadence and the escalation path that are agreed before kickoff rather than invented during it.
  • Marketing Team

    Content & Branding

Crafts content, manages the brand presence and publishes the engineering and buyer-guidance writing on the WeebPal blog. The editorial line is that a claim on this site should be checkable: published price bands rather than quotes on request, warranty exclusions stated alongside what is covered, and case studies that describe what was built rather than what was promised.
  • Research & Innovation

    R&D & Emerging Tech

Explores emerging technologies, prototypes new platform features and runs the AI and machine learning research. Work that proves out here becomes part of a platform rather than a one-off: the document extraction now used in application workflows and the AI-assisted authoring in EverLMS both started as research prototypes before they became features anyone could buy.
  • Business Development

    Growth & Partnerships

Expands WeebPal globally through strategic partnerships, new market development and long-term client relationships in other countries. Runs the partner side of the platforms: agencies and operators take them to their own markets, deployed together with us, on terms agreed before anyone commits. The first call about a project is with an engineer rather than with this team.
