About Force Switch User
Force Switch User (FSU) lets a developer or administrator change the logged-in account immediately, without going back to the Drupal login page. It adds a floating login panel, separate from the standard login form, with colour and position options from the top right to the bottom left corner of the screen. Essential for UAT, debugging permission issues, and customer support.
How it works
FSU has a Master mode and an Anonymous mode. In Master mode, the admin role sets a password and can create, edit and limit the accounts that switching uses. In Anonymous mode, a user logs in and switches account straight from the panel, which shows a log of recent users to move between.
It is for Drupal developers, for webmasters who change user role often, and for online learning, e-commerce or any other site with more than one user role.

Install and Drupal versions
Requires: Drupal 7
Force Switch User is a Drupal 7 module. The latest release is 7.x-1.2, from July 2018, alongside the 7.x-1.x development branch; there is no release for Drupal 8 or later. Download it from the project page and enable it like any Drupal 7 module; it needs PHP 5.6 or later, and its settings sit under Configuration, User interface. The project has not opted into Drupal security advisory coverage.
