About this overview

This guide is an overview. It describes what MineTickets lets an organiser do, area by area, as the platform's published features set it out. It does not walk through individual screens or name buttons: each business runs its own MineTickets system, and what you see depends on the kind of booking that business takes and on how its system is set up.

Organiser here means whoever runs the booking side of a business: a venue selling admission, an organiser selling seats for an event, or a clinic, dental practice, spa or beauty salon taking appointments.

Creating tickets

Organisers create the tickets for each event themselves, tailored to that event. Where a venue sells seats or viewing areas, customers can pick a specific one when they book.

The ticket a customer receives is a PDF whose layout, content and design can be customised. The platform also generates QR codes, which can be set up for purposes such as entry to an event.

Available and booked tickets

The organiser side tracks the tickets, seats or slots still available, so you can see how an event is filling and keep its capacity under control.

It also tracks the tickets already booked. A booking can be looked up and changed: MineTickets is built so that reservation details, dates, times and the service or facility booked can be adjusted after the booking is made, with little effort on either side.

Events

Event details and scheduling are managed in the platform, so each event is planned and coordinated in the same place as its tickets. Before the event, attendees use seat selection on the site to choose and reserve the seats they want.

Appointments, services and treatments

For doctors, dentists, spas and beauty salons, the organiser side is built around appointments rather than seats:

  • the services and treatments on offer, updated as the offer changes;
  • packages, such as medical or dental service packages and spa or beauty treatment packages;
  • a calendar that keeps schedules and appointments in one view;
  • customer contacts, used for appointment reminders, offers and feedback.

Payments

Customers pay online as part of the booking. The platform supports a choice of payment methods, with more than one payment gateway connected, and can accommodate changes in payment plans. Which gateways a deployment uses is decided when it is set up for the business.

Orders, customers and reports

Orders and customer records are managed in one place, with reports on orders, income and schedules. Promotions are run from the same system, and a newsletter service can be connected to it, with a subscribe form on the site.

News and site pages

The booking site carries its own news. Organisers publish and edit updates, announcements and promotions, and clinics, spas and salons can use it for new treatments, special offers and events. The site also has its home page, a contact form and terms of use.
