Re-read a region or run pages again
Why it matters
Use another extraction attempt when manual corrections alone are not enough.
Before you begin: A document has existing results. Check any edits you want to keep before re-running pages.
- 1
Choose the smallest useful scope
CreatorFrom a block, choose Re-read region, or draw a new region to capture missed content. To process complete pages, select Re-run pages. Use Try another engine for the whole document.

Check the engine and cost
Choose an available engine and inspect the estimate. A paid region read estimates one page. Confirm any cloud notice and cost; Free engines remain an option when budget is insufficient.
- 3
Understand which edits will change
A region read updates that block’s text while keeping its earlier content if reading fails. A successful page re-run replaces its detection, removes its edits and clears Reviewed. A failed re-run keeps the page’s previous result and edits.

Wait and inspect the new result
The region or selected pages are locked while processing. A document permits one page run at a time; a region read is unavailable on a page currently being re-run. Inspect the replacement result and mark the page Reviewed again when checked.
- Good to know
- Retry failed pages uses the same engine for failed pages of the latest run.
- Try another engine creates a new run for every page. Read the confirmation before discarding corrections.
- Result to check
The selected scope has a new result or a clear error with the previous usable content kept. Document info records the run and its cost.
