Why it matters

Match upload, Trial, spending, retention and export settings to your installation’s policy.

Before you begin: Content Admin access. Review the impact of limits and automatic deletion before saving.

  1. 1

    Set upload limits and Trial

    Content Admin

Open Settings. Set file size and page limits for each role. Turn Trial on or off and choose how long its temporary results are retained.

  2. 2

    Set monthly budgets

Set Creator, Content Admin and Admin monthly budgets and the Site budget. Reducing a budget below current usage prevents new paid runs until the next month; Free engines remain available.

  3. 3

    Choose document retention

Enable or disable automatic removal of documents not opened for the configured number of days. Tell your users about the retention policy so they can download content they need.

  4. 4

Choose formats, review threshold and currency

Enable at least one download format. Set the Needs check threshold and currency. A currency change alters displayed units; it does not convert historical amounts.

  5. 5

    Save and correct validation errors

Select Save settings. If any field is invalid, fix the shown error and save again. Invalid settings are not partly applied. Lower upload limits affect new uploads.

  6. Result to check

Settings displays the saved policy. Values shown in historical screenshots are sample configuration rather than fixed product limits.
